Ahmad Aubrey. Shanquella Robinson. Two names synonymous with tragedy in the black community. Mr. Aubrey, killed after being chased by white supremacists through a construction site, pre-George Floyd's introduction, and Ms. Robinson, killed by those who were supposed to be his friends post-George Floyd's benediction. To put things in perspective in case you've heard of him for the first time, Muggsy Malone also known as The Parkway Kid, embodies the soul of a man who literally lived to tell the tale. And unlike Jussie Smollet, the countless numbers of others both white and black who have exaggerated they're stories of triumph, this one is guaranteed 100% real.

At one time known as one of the District Of Columbia's underground rap scenes first major record deal signees, his current story encompasses averted tragedies through his military + combat sported gene pool and upbringing. Most recently starting with a recorded backyard fight where he was nearly shot and killed by now former friends, choosing to separate himself from them instead of doing anything else. Prior to a short jail stint he showed promise not on still in rap but in boxing as he nearly gained a sponsorship from Reflex Ball and was scheduled for amateur fights in the metropolitan area. Taking MMA into consideration as well with his martial arts background. Keeping his bars intact and attending college at the best of his father, he’s scheduled to graduate with two degrees one a bachelors in IT/Computer science with a minor in Business Administration and a Associates degree in Aquisition’s & Contract Management. One of his goals is to put artists in better positions through reading contracts properly so that they can get they’re just due for they’re work. After being signed to a major label under the UMG umbrella, and nearly being killed by a car bomb during his tour in the US Army, he’s no stranger to danger and makes the battlefield his home when needed.

Aside from the aforementioned, one his most notable events is his lifelong dream of participating in the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher, something he first saw while battling homelessness in North Carolina after he was nearly stabbed and killed by a family member in a case of mistaken identity to which he quickly forgave. Leaving DC to live in Charlotte, NC with his brother, in order to avoid taking the stand and pointing out his cousin for attempted murder on his life. Before he passed away during the Coronavirus epidemic, they were on the way to becoming the best of friends. The next, was when a police march happened to occur in his new home of Virginia, where he stood alone and unchallenged as protesters of the then popular Black Lives Matter movement disrespected and attacked children and eldery people on the street in which he lived. Armed with a pair of hands and boxing gloves in the middle of the protest he chose to show them how he was raised to handle conflicts in the way men should. Unchallenged that day by not one of the thousand plus who demonstrated in defense of evil actions against the unarmed in the country, he was chased days later by a group of copycat Kyle Rittenhouse 'wannabe' killers for 10 plus miles on Rt. 1 in Fredericksburg, VA to whom he later confronted after leading them on a high speed chase to a nearby shopping center. Viewing Malone's unexpected size, they left. No stranger to such action NBC and Fox News reported the story cementing him as an unlikely victor in a war he truly didn't mean to involve himself in, but as a trained fighter and army veteran, is willing to for the right reason

Now, in a comfortable place with both of the things he loves, the east coast raised spitter added production to his resume and his gearing up to release a gang of projects, one of them being No Excuses II: Protect Yourself At All Times. A date is to he announced officially as soon as possible.

“God and my upbringing are something that resonate through my music. One of the things that make me comfortable in any situation is knowing I’m being who I am and who God meant for me to be. So whenever I record, workout or anything, I think of the love, my child, what I have survived, especially the times where I was nearly killed, whether by people I loved the most, or have never met, accept the hate, pain and suffering, breathe, pray, and go in with no regrets, and no excuses…” -Muggsy Malone

Born Martin Jackson in Prince George's County, MD he grew up shuffled between two cities after his mother a teacher in Langley Park and his father a soldier, one time military boxer and psychiatrist at St. Elizabeth hospital relocated from Washington, DC to Baltimore, MD after he got another job and another house. Prior to his mother's passing in her early 40's, the young Martin was showing promise in singing and working for the Lord in Upper Room Baptist Church, gaining two diplomas from both Langley Park McCormick and New Psalmist Christian School. His father, now a single dad, often had to leave him on 26th Street N.E. DC with his brother, sister in law and nieces where he and his godbrother/cousin and another neighborhood friend formed rap groups talking about the struggle black folks faced on a worldwide scale but starting with they're surroundings. As he was maturing in life he promised that even though he was no stranger to danger himself, he would never stray far from the foundations of how he was raised. Listening to everything from jazz, blues to go-go and gospel and highly influenced by the likes of Scarface, Rakim, LL Cool J, Ice Cube and more.
